About Me

Hi, I'm Kristy!

I've been sewing since I was a child and quilting for almost as long. I reside in St. Louis, Missouri where I am continually renovating my century-old farmhouse, watching too many hours of Doctor Who and Sherlock, and using way too many of these {…}

I am both the Founder and President of the St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild, and love to talk about modern quilting. I have lectured and taught workshops at several guilds and various community events. So please contact me if your shop, guild, or organization is interested in having me visit.

I also have my own line of quilt patterns; which can be found on Etsy, Craftsy, and various shops across the country.

My work has been seen in:

:::  Modern Quilts Unlimited magazine
:::  Fat Quaterly ezine
:::  Moda Bake Shop

And on several blogs {just to name a few}:

:::  The Modern Quilt Guild
:::  FreeSpirit Fabrics
:::  Windham Fabrics

I would love to hear from you! You can email me, or find me on social media.

Professional Bio

Kristy wants to live in a world where quilts are touched by child's hands and dirtied by sun-kissed grass; because to her it means that they are well-loved.

As a Quilter, and Pattern Designer, she’s been featured in Modern Quilts Unlimited magazine, Fat Quarterly ezine, Moda Bake Shop and on countless blogs.

When she’s not playing with fabric scraps, you can find her watching Doctor Who or renovating her century-old farmhouse.

Some of her work has been exhibited in quilt shows including QuiltCon 2013, where she took 3rd place in the Group/Bee category for her quilt Confetti Amongst Friends.  She has also taken pixilation to new heights by creating The Tenth; which was exhibited at the Festival of Quilts in NEC Birmingham, UK.
