Destashing Giveaway

I decided it was about time that I did another Stash Cleanup after one of my shelves was so full of fabric that I couldn't find something that I knew I had.  Turns out it wasn't even on the shelf to begin with; but that's neither here nor there.

I remembered saving Jeni's post about fabric folding; which you can find on her blog In Color Order.

Back in October of 2010, I did a stash cleanup, yet after swapping fabric, online sales (yep, I blame fabric sales) and inspiration overload.  I needed to do it again.

It started out like this last year...


This is what the organization looked like after my October cleanup.  This is only one drawer.
Edited 3/21-Don't think I've cut back this much...there are 3 other drawers I'm not showing you :-)


And thanks to Jeni's methods, this is what the same drawer looks like now.  Okay, so some of the fabric just wouldn't fold right; but it's darn close.


This of course means that I found a couple of things that I no longer need or have too much of...which for you readers means giveaway time.  YAY!!!

  6. I am currently working on jelly roll races quilts. I am looking for some fabrics outside of my normal picks to add scrappiness to them. It's so hard to choose out of my comfort zone though! :)

  53. I'm working on a couple projects. There is a paperpiecing BOM from Ula Lenz,a Lorn Star, that want to be finished, a little spring related wallhanger and @ last the Christmas Quilt for my hubby want to be quilted too. You see, I'm quite a little busy lol

  56. My current project: My DD#1 asked for a quilt (yippee! finally a family member asks for one), but what she wanted was a lap-sized calendar quilt. It's designed to be a small wall hanging, so I had to enlarge the blocks about 300 times the original size. I've since finished all the paper-pieced blocks and am now assembling the qiult top. I hope to have the quilt top flimsy finished by Friday. Keep your fingers crossed. And toes. And eyes. dmj539(at)hotmail(dot)com

    I'm working on a quilt of solid colors, using a very easy cutting method from Gwen Marston's Liberated String Quilts. I've got other quilts going too...
    I don't enter too many giveaways, and I don't have a blog, so I haven't won in many months--but I always like the giveaways like yours, when a quilter is "destashing". Your folded fabrics look very appealing in the drawers. Thanks very much.

  67. I'm working on too many things at once. The largest project is the Bloggers Block A Palooza Quilt Along. My blocks are ready for the assembly as soon as the directions are out on Thursday. I'm very slowly stitching hexies for a 10 year goal of a grandmother's flower garden (if win, some fabric will go to this effort). And, I just finished One Star blocks (my mother donated the fabric - need to find a brown pigma to sign before mail) for the Semper Fi Moda effort. Waiting for fabric is my Japanese Fan Quilt, so the geisha fabric would be wonderful to keep me going. So, have lots of places I can use your fabric if win as don't really have much of a stash. I work on projects as find the fabric.

  73. I recently left my cell phone at the grocery store in a cart.(wince) Fortunately it was turned in, (cheers) but I learned my lesson. I'm currently working on a cell phone case that snaps to the inside of my purse. If it doesn't work, I'm going to just use duck tape and my forehead!
